Street-Workout-Park VS

STREET-WORKOUT-PARK

Training with your own body weight and in the open air – this is now possible in the new ProKids Street Workout Park on the shore of the Vorderer See in Schwenningen. The facility was on May 22nd by Guido Wolf, Minister of Justice and European Affairs in Baden-Württemberg, Mayor Jürgen Roth, Joachim Spitz, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the ProKids Foundation, and Siegfried Gänsler, Chairman of the Board of the Schwenningen Health Insurance Company, and consecrated by Pastor Michael Schumacher of the Catholic St. Francis Parish.

"The Street Workout Park is intended to be a place to go, especially for teenagers and young adults in Schwenningen," says initiator Joachim Spitz. There are still too few places for them to stay in the city. "We want young people to come into contact with each other more and do sports," says Spitz. Particular attention was paid to accessibility. "Everyone should be able to use the facility and train according to their abilities," emphasizes Spitz. For these reasons, the Schwenningen health insurance company is supporting the construction of the Street Workout Park as the main sponsor.

The total cost of the street workout park is around 75,000 euros. It is being financed by the ProKids Foundation, as well as numerous sponsors and advertising partners. These include the Schwenningen health insurance company, its foundation "Die Gesundarbeiter", the BW Bank, wildigarten gardening and landscaping, Orca Zerspanungstechnik GmbH, the Physioteam Reisich & Neumann, the Villingen-Schwenningen housing association, Spitzdruck GmbH and the Lions Club Donau-Neckar. Other supporters are welcome.

The project was implemented in close cooperation with the Office for Youth, Education, Integration and Sports (JuBis) and the Parks Department. The city bears the ongoing costs for maintenance, care and insurance.
