ANONYMOUS /

CONFIDENTIAL BIRTH

In the case of an anonymous birth, the delivery takes place with medical care, but without personal information. The aim is to prevent the child and/or mother from being in life-threatening danger due to an emergency or conflict situation of the mother due to the upcoming birth.

In order not to endanger the lives of mother and child, the Schwarzwald-Baar-Klinikum, in consultation with the registry office and youth welfare office, has decided to allow an anonymous birth if the birth is imminent. In this special situation, the well-being of mother and child is also legally the top priority. A flow chart was developed for this situation. The hospital pays for the birth in advance.

Mothers who want an anonymous or confidential birth should contact the midwife on duty in the delivery room of Villingen Hospital directly. The foster parents take care of the child. The decision not to provide personal information can be reversed at any time. Around 3 to 4 confidential births are attended to each year.

A woman who has carried a child deserves the utmost respect - even if she wants to remain unknown to her child afterwards!
