In 2008 Joachim Spitz took the initiative: With ProKids-VS he started to finance the school meals for needy children. In the meantime, his ProKids Foundation consists of numerous wonderful projects that benefit needy children from our region.
Since the opening of the baby hatch in 2010 at St. Franziskusheim, five babies have been saved. And ultimately put up for adoption by loving families. "Every child should be given a chance," says Joachim Spitz. Other of his projects, such as the annual Christmas wish campaign, in which more than 300 children can have their heart's desire fulfilled for up to 20 euros, or homework supervision in the ProKids meeting point, the teenage mothers' shared flat or the ProKids street workout park in VS -Schwenningen are now indispensable. 10 YEARS BABYHATCH
On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the baby hatch in Villingen-Schwenningen, a report was broadcast on SWR. The almost 25-minute radio feature was broadcast on SWR2 on Sunday, April 19, 2020 at 12:05 p.m. On March 12th around noon (around 12.50 p.m.) the radio report about the baby hatch ran on SWR4 Tübingen and in the afternoon every half hour a news minute in the regional news.
