Games, fun & homework help for kids

The ProKids-Treff arose from the basic idea of giving young families in Villingen-Schwenningen a place where they can exchange ideas. Children and parents meet here in an informal atmosphere over coffee, tea and cake. There are games and handicrafts for children of all ages.

The facility in the Schwenningen youth center was established by the couple Ulrike and Dr. Karl-Henning Lichte and taken over by the ProKids Foundation as sponsor in spring 2012.

The volunteers and salaried pedagogical staff at the ProKids-Treff help families in a variety of ways, for example by arranging children's clothing (used and new), toys, with a low-threshold range of advice and help in emergencies. In addition, the children can be supervised with their homework on request. Many families are grateful for the support provided when contacting the authorities, for help in emergencies and for the offer of discussion groups with medical and educational topics, among other things. The ProKids-Treff also organizes large events, seasonal projects and a holiday program. Here, children from families who otherwise cannot afford it are also able to take part in attractive activities that represent very special experiences for the little ones.

All this is offered to the visitors of the meeting free of charge. The socio-pedagogical family help provided by ProKids is intended to support parents or single parents with very practical help in mastering everyday life.
