KONZEPTION

FOUNDATION PURPOSE

The purpose of the foundation is realized in particular by

• Financial, social and health support for children and young people and their families
• intellectual and human advancement of children and young people
• Promotion of schools and childcare facilities in non-material, personal or financial terms
• Promotion of youth welfare
• Promote the prevention of violence against children
• general educational work on the situation of children in society

FUNDING PRINCIPLES

The ProKids Foundation sees itself both as an operationally active foundation that pursues its goals with its own programs and as a supporting foundation that enables third parties to develop and implement interesting approaches - projects and initiatives - to tackle social tasks at home and abroad. With our own programs or projects sponsored by us, we want to initiate developments and bring about changes. Depending on the topic and the associated strategic orientation, we decide whether we will implement the program "operatively", ie as our own project and/or look for partners who will help us to supplement the program with their expertise and experience.

ORIGIN

Shortly after the beginning of the new millennium, child poverty in the Federal Republic reached a historical new dimension. The consequences for those affected are not only financial, but also health-related. Every third child is in need of therapy when they start school. There is also the social dimension: poverty always means discrimination. Such grievances have a particular impact on everyday school life: needy parents are often unable to pay for a warm school lunch for their children. This is where businessman Joachim Spitz started in 2008. He founded the local initiative ProKids-VS in his home town of Villingen-Schwenningen and began to actively support needy children.

STRUCTURES

The ProKids Foundation is a nationwide foundation. The focus of action lies in the promotion of locally and regionally active ProKids initiatives.

SUBSIDIARIES / INITIATIVES

Foundation branches can be assigned, eg Prokids-VS as before, as an initiative of the Spitzdruck company in Villingen-Schwenningen, Prokids-TUT, Prokids-RW etc. could be named. 80% of the funds received or collected by regional foundation branches are redistributed directly, with the coordination of the regional initiatives, but only directly in the region of this initiative, 20% flow into the foundation stock for long-term and later distribution. The board of directors of the foundation decides on the distribution of donations with national fundraising goals. Subsidiaries must be approved by the Prokids Foundation.
