CLOTHING ROOM
ONLY FOR KIDS
The demand for used clothing for children is high. In an area of around 20 square metres, spread over two rooms, sweaters, T-shirts and trousers are piled up on the shelves; jackets, shirts and suits hang on the clothes racks. The range is varied and we want it to stay that way. That's why the clothes that are simply not taken are replaced every six weeks. These are then put into the DRK's used clothing collection.
Petra Armbruster and Olga Falkenberg are primarily responsible for the clothing room. The two ladies sort the donated textiles, put them away and keep the room in order.
You can browse, try on and take the clothes home for free on Wednesdays and Fridays between 3 and 6 p.m. You will find the clothing store OUpper floor of the asylum seekers' home in Alleenstraße, directly opposite of the spectrum.
Anyone who would like to donate clean and well-preserved clothing for children can do so at Spektrum every day from 2:30 p.m.
